Subject: All drugs should be legal. Right?
Content: I'm somewhat annoyed. Why the hell does nobody take the proposition of making all drugs legal serious? Last time I saw, Obama made little jokes about this issue. The war on drugs clearly is a major failure and will never work. You can't force people to not take drugs if they are addicted. They're creative, they'll always find ways. But especially the drug dealing organizations are completely getting out of hand. If this goes on, world domination for these criminals won't be a dream any longer (laugh at this idea while you can...). Legalizing drugs would take away the main income of these organizations and render them powerless. Not just that, but it also actually would reduce the number of addicts. Right now, the drug dealers are simply trying to lure in as many people as they can into addiction. With cheap, legal drugs, there will be nothing to gain for dealers. Even if people just get into drugs out of curiousity (which they can do right now anyway without a problem), the drugs will be cleaner and much less dangerous (is that an oxymoron?) and we can use the money that we safe for responsibly dealing with addicts. The practical evidence also clearly suggests that countries with legal drugs don't have as many addicts as those where they are illegal. I've yet to hear any reasonable argument for keeping drugs illegal. What do you think?
